The gorgeous Bar Rafaeli getting a Plasma Facial

The Plasma Facelift and the Plasma Facial continue to receive much deserved buzz in the popular media, and we are proud to be one of the first and only fully trained practitioners of the procedures in Colorado. Dr. Janowski was intensively trained by the founder of the procedures, Dr. Charles Runels.

I’ve seen three news reports in the last month on these procedures, and the celebrities flocking to try them.

Although they share similar names, the Plasma Facelift and the Plasma Facial are two distinct procedures. The share the term “Plasma” because they both use your own PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) as part of the procedure. Your own PRP contains growth factors, and uses the power of your own healing agents to rejuvenate your skin. PRP is obtained with a quick and easy blood draw, and then is spun down in a specialized centrifuge to seperate the PRP from your red blood cells. What you have left is a clear substance with your own healing plasma.

The Plasma Facelift combines a filler (like Juvederm) with PRP. Dr. Janowski will inject the dermal filler in the areas where you want increased fullness and volume – usually in the mid-face, and then layer the PRP over the filler. The PRP not only enhances your skin, but also makes the dermal fillers last longer. The result is a fuller, natural, more rejuvenated appearance.

The Plasma Facial (what supermodel Bar Rafaeli had done) combines microneedling with PRP. Microneedling uses a small, pen-like device to infuse healing agents directly into the skin. The procedure is non-invasive, and feels something like a strong micro-dermabrasion treatment. Microneedling creates small micro-injuries to your skin, and then PRP is then able to infuse the skin and heal your skin from the inside out. We’ve seen tremendous results in the healing of scars, as well as in overall skin rejuvenation. Our patients universally love this procedure. Dr. Janowski does the treatment personally in our Broomfield, Colorado office, and can vary the treatment based on your needs. It works best as a series of three treatments spaced out over the course of a couple months. Recently, Dr. Janowski was featured discussing this procedure on the NYC news.

If you live in Denver, Boulder, Broomfield, or any surrounding areas and would like to learn more about these procedures, schedule an appointment today!  Call us at 303.469.0064 or contact us through the form on our site and we’ll see you soon.
