Non-Surgical Facelift With MINT Thread Lift

Lift, tighten, and contour your face instantly with MINT thread lifts.

What is a Non-Surgical Thread Lift?

Surgical threads, and the polymer that they consist of, have been used for years in a number of biomedical and pharmaceutical applications – sutures, rods, screws, orthopedic pins, and nails for bone fractures. These applications have been developed because the polymer has shown such excellent biocompatibility and is biodegradable.

We love threads at Sonata because they are a unique facial rejuvenation procedure that lifts and contours the skin without the need for surgery or general anesthesia – and no scarring! It’s a simple in-office procedure that is often called a “one-hour” or “lunchtime” facelift.

Results are typically immediate and generally last for a year or more. Along with an immediate effect, you will continue to see a tightening of the treated area as the threads dissolve and encourage the body to generate collagen.

Thread lifts are perfect for men and women with moderate loose and sagging skin in the face and neck area.

Understanding Thread Lifts

How It Works

MINT (Minimally Invasive Nonsurgical Threads) lifts are relatively simple, especially when compared to other “traditional” facelift procedures. The Dr. uses a very fine needle to insert a thin, absorbable thread under the skin. These tiny threads either have cones or barbs to lift and tighten the skin from underneath while simultaneously encouraging the body to produce more collagen. The procedure generally takes about an hour depending on the area treated, and results should be apparent within a day or so.

What is a MINT PDO Thread Lift?

Minimally Invasive Nonsurgical Threads, or MINT, are the latest innovation from South Korea and can have distinct advantages over other threads because of their design. MINT is an FDA approved heavy gauge barbed thread made from Polydioxanone (PDO) . The heavier gauge and patented barbs allow the thread to give more of a lift. Additionally, it’s anchored – creating less “float” than other threads, providing superior results. Like all threads, it promotes collagen in the treated areas, and dissolves around 6-9 months after insertion with lifting effects lasting for around one year.

Patented Molding Barbs

MINT lift® has patented molding barbs which strongly fix the skin tissues, resulting to wrinkle improvement.

Patented 360° Helical Type

Lifting thread should have barbs with 360° degree to lift soft tissue up strong enough to have longevity and durability. The 360° helical barbs of MINT lift® are designed to hold and fix the tissue from all direction.

Before & After

Before And After Care

Before:
Dr. Janowski and the Sonata staff will review all of the information you need for exceptional results during the procedure consultation. We can address any concerns and questions you might have, your desired results, and discuss the Dr’s techniques and anesthesia options. Dr. Janowski, and staff, will perform the threadlift as an outpatient same day procedure, usually taking between 1-3 hours. We recommend that you discontinue use of any (blood thinning) products containing aspirin, ginseng, & green tea for two weeks prior to the procedure – as this can help limit any potential bruising.

After:
Our team will check in with you the day after the procedure, and every few days after to see how you are doing and answer any questions you might have. It is normal, and expected, for the treated areas to feel a bit swollen and sore immediately afterwards. Any discomfort can typically be treated with Tylenol. If you have persistent and unmanageable pain, please call our office immediately.
Most of our non-surgical facelift patients have returned to normal activities a day or two after the procedure. Although visible results are immediate, your body will continue to heal and produce collagen which will stabilize and further improve the results over time!

Ideal for mild to moderate skin laxity

FAQ

Thread lifts are perfect for both men and women with light to moderate sagging in the skin around the neck, face, and jowl areas. It’s a great non-surgical solution to a face lift that takes less time in office and has much less downtime.

It really depends on the area(s) that is being treated, and how many threads are being used. Our threadlift patients are usually in office for around 1-3 hours.

The majority of our patients return to work the next day, or a few days after the procedure. If your job requires a lot of bending over, stooping, or lifting heavy objects, you may want to take 2-3 days off before returning.

Risks with this procedure are very minimal. Side effects can include bruising, swelling, and light discomfot around the treated areas. These can be treated with ice packs or Tylenol as needed.

It depends on the area(s) treated and the age of the patient. However, we see most results lasting around a year, with additional benefits (collagen production) lasting much longer.

The short answer is “no”. The purpose of a threadlift is to lift skin in areas that have become loose and sagging over time, giving you back a more youthful and vibrant look.

Why Sonata

Dr. Janowski is one of the most experienced injectors in the state, and has seen thousands of patients since 2004. He is currently ranked #1 in Colorado (and top 20 in the United States) for his expertise in injecting dermal fillers, and is an official trainer to other Dr’s on use and technique!

He has even developed his own technique, called the “snap technique” in order to minimize pain and bruising, and to ensure longer lasting and more natural results. This is his own specialized way of holding the needle so that he is able to insert into the skin as quickly as possible. Once the needle is under the skin, it generally doesn’t hurt – and he can then carefully place the product in the most ideal location.

Additionally, we take special care and time with each and every patient in order to determine which filler is best for you and which areas can best benefit from filler treatment.

We would love to meet with you to answer any other questions you might have, or to schedule a free 1 on 1 consultation with one of the best injectors in the state (and country). Feel free to give us a call or send an email!
