What is ThermiVa®?
ThermiVa® is a new, amazing, non surgical solution for vaginal rejuvenation. Treatments are done in the office, and are quick and easy. Women of all ages have used ThermiVa® treatment to successfully reclaim their bodies and increase their confidence.
ThermiVa® is done by our discrete, female aesthetician in a series of three short treatments, spaced about one month apart, with a touch-up done annually.
ThermiVa® is a wonderful addition to our suite of services that help our patients to live their best lives.
How does ThermiVa® work?
Using the wand pictured above, we gently apply the tip to the area being treated. This tip emits a radio frequency , gently heating and tightening the treatment area. It's non invasive, non ablative, and non surgical - with no anesthesia required. Patients feel very little during the treatment other than the pressure and sensation of the wand.
Blood flow is stimulated to the treated areas, which can work to improve the appearance of your labia, can help resolve minor incontinence issues (such a peeing when you sneeze or exercise), can help your feel more lubricated, and can increase sensation.
Treatment sessions generally last between 20-30 minutes, and the entire appointment typically lasts less than an hour. You can resume normal activities immediately post treatment, including sex.
How is this different from other Vaginal Rejuvenation treatment?
There are a myriad of options out there if you Google "vaginal rejuvenation": Vaginoplasty, labiaplasty, the O Shot®, Mona Lisa Touch®, and hormone therapy...to name just a few. How is ThermiVa different, and is it best for you? Well, to begin with, it's nonsurgical - unlike most vaginoplasty and labiaplasty procedures - and it helps with stimulation. This means no downtime, no anesthesia, and a typically a fraction of the cost. There are no painful lasers involved as with the Mona Lisa Touch®. Hormone therapy is a whole different animal with potentially harmful and dangerous side effects.
As we mentioned above, ThermiVa® is completely non invasive and non surgical. It can be used to treat both inside and outside the vagina. Although 3 sessions are recommended, many of our patients see improvement after just 1 visit to our Broomfield, CO office.
What can ThermiVa® do?
Many women notice changes in their feminine wellness after childbirth and through the natural aging process. Physical changes in the vaginal area can be the result of a particularly difficult vaginal childbirth, multiple births, and the effects of menopause. These changes can rob women of their feminine well-being and happiness, and can affect their partners as well. ThermiVa® has been specifically designed to tackle all of these issues, and more!
Who is a good candidate?
If you have noticed a lack of sensation, have trouble with urinary incontinence, have dryness, or would like to improve the look of your vagina - ThermiVa® could definitely be right for you! ThermiVa® is not recommended for patients who are currently pregnant, have an infection around the area of application, or those with severe urinary stress incontinence.
