Virtually every patient I have would like to see more “lift” in the face and neck.  This could mean either a higher cheek bone, a reduction in jowls at the jawline, a rise in the mouth corners, less sagging in the neck, or some combination of these.  Up until now, patients had the choice of either a surgical facelift, which for many people seems too extreme, or using fillers and skin tightening devices, which work well, but have less of a lifting and tightening effect compared with surgery, and, in the case of skin tightening, can take up to 6 months to work.

In my opinion, it is one of the most ingenious inventions in minimally invasive facial aesthetics in the last 10 years.  Sillhouette is a simple office procedure involving the placement of suture under the skin that pulls up on the cheek and jowl area, suspending it naturally and beautifully.  The suture is anchored in place by tiny cones that secure under the skin, completely avoiding the need for tying the suture.  The product is made entirely of re-absorbable material, which is also a potent collagen stimulator, so your natural collagen will grow around it over time.  This product is also non-long lasting, and will be broken down by the body over about 18 months, just like a filler.  The procedure takes about 30 minutes, involves virtually no recovery, and will give you an instant lift in the lower and mid-face.
