Less Bruising & Pain is Possible at Sonata
We truly know how nervous people can be before their first aesthetic treatment. And we have so many ways to help make your experience positive from start to finish.
One of the great things about working with us at Sonata is we all get the treatments (yes, even the doctor). We all know what you are going through and how scary a first-time treatment can be. It’s one of the reasons our compassion and empathy is genuine. We’ve been there!
We start with a complete educational consultation so you know exactly what you are getting and why. Procedures are then done by the nationally-ranked (top 20 in the USA) Dr. Janowski, who has over 12 years helping patients get beautiful, natural results as comfortably as possible. In fact, one of the most common things we hear in our office, is “Wow, that was so easy!”.
And while there are no guarantees, we can confidently say our patients are reporting experiencing less pain and bruising than when they worked with other aesthetic medical practitioners. Dr. Janowski is known for having an exceptionally gentle touch and the skill to make your procedure as quick and easy as possible.
We feel the main reason for this is first and foremost Dr. Janowski’s experience. While his depth of experience translates to naturally beautiful outcomes, this experience has also led the doctor to innovative proven uses for micro-cannulas and Lidocaine, as well as steroid injections if necessary.
Micro-cannulas are super thin, flexible hollow tubes with a smooth round tip. No sharp needles! Instead of multiple needle pricks, for most of our filler treatments we only need a very few micro-cannula points. That translates into fewer or no needle marks, less pain and far less probability of bruising.
Lidocaine numbs tissue in a specific area and can be used as a nerve bloc. Lidocaine mixed with a small amount of epinephrine allows larger doses to be used as numbing and to make it last longer. When used as an injectable it typically begins working within four minutes and lasts for half an hour to three hours. Lidocaine may also be applied directly to the skin for numbing. The doctor uses Lidocaine to further reduce pain levels.
We are also able to offer our patients a quick, easy and complimentary steroid injection immediately following your procedure, if necessary. This can almost immediately reduce swelling. Sometimes swelling can occur with treatments of the under-eye area or the lips, and the the steroid injection allows us to reduce that side-effect instantly.
This use of steroids, as well as the use of micro-cannulas and lidocaine in innovative ways are only part of what makes your Sonata experience special and helps greatly reduce your likelihood of pain and bruising. Our staff is caring and compassionate and we feel this also makes a difference for your recovery.
You will leave our office with arnica tablets and cream, ice, as well as Bromelain tablets — all designed to ease any inflammation post-procedure. While the vast majority of our patients report absolutely no down-time, we do everything we can to ensure that you are back to your normal routine as soon as possible.
Please always reach out to us with your special questions or concerns. We are here for you and anything we can do to make your experience 110% positive is our priority.
