What Is a Non-Surgical Nose Job?
If you’re like many people who’re considering a nose job, you are hesitant because the surgery is such a big investment. It’s expensive, but it’s not just the money—it’s an investment in sacrifice. Nose job surgery can result in significant discomfort. And it’s an investment in time: you will probably have to take weeks off from work, and you may have to wait a year to see your final results.
But what if you could get the results of a nose job without the surgery? You can, with a nonsurgical nose job.
Reshaping the Nose
The goal of a nose job—rhinoplasty—is to reshape the nose. In a surgical nose job, this is done by cutting and reshaping the tissue of the nose.
But in a nonsurgical nose job, injectables like Juvéderm are used to reshape the nose by adding volume. For example, instead of shaving a hump off your nose, injecting fillers on either side of the hump can create a smooth, straight nose.
This has many benefits, not the least of which is that you don’t have surgery, including surgical risks, surgical downtime, and surgical scars.
Perhaps most importantly, a nonsurgical nose job isn’t long lasting, so if you’re unhappy with the results, you can just wait for them to go away, in about a year to 18 months.
What a Nonsurgical Nose Job Can Do
Most of the complaints people have about the appearance of their nose are problems of shape and proportion. Injectable fillers are actually able to address many of these complaints, including:
- Humps or bumps on the nose
- Uneven slope of the nose
- Curving slope of the nose
- Large, bulbous tip
- Beaked appearance
- Angular nose shape
The results of a nonsurgical nose job are generally outstanding, especially considering what you didn’t have to go through to get them.
